Author’s Note:  Though this story takes place in the same Nimbletail ComPet Universe as the Sue Sharp stories, it’s a bit more mean-spirited in its tone and subject-matter than what I normally do.  If that concerns you, please steer clear, otherwise enjoy.

Those who are new to Brentwood are usually very surprised when they walk the community for the first time.  Upon seeing the well-maintained, clean streets and classic Americana architecture, one new citizen famously remarked, “This place makes Mayberry look like a shanty town!”  This high standard of appearance extends to the dress and conduct of Brentwood’s population.  You won’t see men stomping around in shorts and t-shirts on Main Street, nor will you see girls slogging about in yoga pants.  Instead it’s practical, but sharp suits for the citizens and charming and fetching dresses for the ladies—all in a mid-1950s style.  Ladies fashion, in particular, is carefully overseen to ensure the tenets of femininity and modesty are observed, lest they devolve into what we currently and sadly see in the world outside of Brentwood. 

Husbands are considered the first line of defense against this very serious form of societal degradation.

A Quick Note:

Before you begin, those of you who have been following us (and by “us” I mean me) should know that the following story takes place in a setting outside of the usual Brentwood Society and ComPet world.  This alt-Britain setting, originally conceived of by Dave Potter, and introduced to me through the work of the writer cafterhomme, features many of the things you, the reader, has come to expect from my little corner of the internet: bondage and humiliation wrapped in manners, civility, and social hierarchy.  As cafterhomme puts it, the setting “celebrates womanhood as a possession, a work of art for the male gaze.”  While not featured in this first chapter, it also includes physical modification to the whims of a patriarchal society, which, while fun for some, is not fun for everyone!

I've got a few projects I'm working on now, but I'd love to know what folks would like to see in the future.             Button wasn’t entirely sure how it happened, but after their little game of tug-of-war, she’d made friends with the chocolate poodle, Bonbon.  Perhaps winning the game through frustration, determination, and a little luck had made the athletic Bonbon respect her a little more, though Button doubted that anyone, human, pet girl, or even regular pet, had much respect for her no matter her actions.  Perhaps they had formed a bond simply because both puppy girls, like all the other guests at the hotel, had all been teased to breaking point by the “Eager Beaver” system.  After all, misery always loves company.

Button awoke to a powerful pulse between her shaking, “hind legs.”  After two days and nights suffering unpredictable and unforgiving forced arousal, Button would have thought that she’d be numb to it all, but she wasn’t.  Her narrow hips bounced off the thin sleeping mat stretched over the pink, stainless steel floor of her cramped, dog crate.  Her pathetic squalling mingled with the cries of the other guests at the Wags Puppy Girl Hotel who had received the same irritating yet exciting wakeup call.
